Second-rounder Jeffery strikes four-year deal with Bears
New Bears GM Phil Emery is keeping an ongoing Chicago tradition alive as the team is again quickly getting its draft class under contract.
Former South Carolina WR Alshon Jeffery, taken in the second round (45th overall), agreed to a four-year deal with the Bears on Tuesday.
Jeffery set a Gamecocks record with 3,042 career receiving yards with 1,517 coming in 2010. At 6-3, 216 pounds, he gives QB Jay Cutler another formidable option opposite recently acquired Pro Bowl WR Brandon Marshall.
Jeffery had first-round grades on him a year ago, but disappointing numbers in 2011 and a playing weight that pushed 240 pounds deflated his stock.
My wife, Evelyn, gave me a gold Rolex® wristwatch as a gift to celebrate my 60th birthday and my retirement. Great look, great feel, but if I didn’t wear it for a few days, it stopped running. I repeatedly had to reset it for the correct time, day and date. That was annoying, so I invented a device to keep it wound when I wasn’t wearing it. It worked quite well, so, postponing retirement, I decided to start a company and began making watch winders.
Now, several years later, from our headquarters in Wilmington, NC, we are shipping Orbita watch winders all over the world. Orbita has become the international leader in watch winding technology. If you’d like to keep your own fine automatic watch(es) always fully wound and properly “exercised,” why not try one of our watch winders. Most of our winders are fully programmable and operate on AC or batteries. They all come with a two-year guarantee and a 30-day trial period. We also offer a low-cost three-year extension warranty on most models. Why not order your own watch winder today? We hope you enjoy yours, in whatever time zone you call home.
